Title and Summary

Associate Specialist, Legal Services (1 year contract subject to 1 year renewal) (Rosetta Contract) Overview:

Mastercard Legal Generalist team, part of the LFI Business Unit, provide legal support to LFI and business partners across Mastercard. The current scope of services includes drafting, updating, comparing and optimizing all types of commercial agreements related to the various products offered by Mastercard in Europe to its customers.
The position is based in Waterloo.

Role:

As an Associate Specialist within the legal team, you will collaborate with awesome colleagues in the legal department to give a pan-European support to our European business and to be the point of contact between the legal team, our legal partners, and our clients.

As an insight, the Associate Specialist:
• Focuses on all types of contractual work, including collecting various commercial and other business related contractual arrangements covering Mastercard's large European product offering in view of reviewing, sanitizing these agreements and harmonizing/standardizing them
• Provides support to legal specialists and legal generalists to enable Mastercard to achieve its strategic objectives
• Reviews, collates, and compiles information including assisting in legal documents/contracts/matters
• Assist the legal team on projects and with ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

• You are eligible for a Rosetta contract/First employment contract (age less than 24years by the time of employment)
• At least a Bachelor's Degree in (para) legal studies
• Good legal and analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage workloads involving different tasks of varying priority and complexity
• Ability to deliver on a timely basis
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels and be an excellent communicator
• Team player with excellent communication and people skills
• Structured, eye for detail, results driven and solution oriented
• Stress tolerant, motivated and proactive
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Excellent command of MS Office tools
