Job Title

Analyst, Network Operations – Operations Command Centre (Night Shift)Mastercard's Operational Command Centre (OCC) partners with our Customers to deliver world class technical support for Mastercard infrastructures and applications, enabling growth, diversification and new business generation. Our Centre's operating model is 24x7x365.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of an Operational Command Centre in Mastercard's Australian Tech Hub.

Based in St Leonards the OCC will enable us to provide our clients with a full follow-the-sun operation, by working closely with our other Centres in the US and India.

We have a number of opportunities for talent, at varying levels of their career, to join us during this exciting time.

Due to the operating hours of the Centre successful candidates for this role will be required to be available to work on a rotating shift roster on either a day shift (6am – 6pm) or a night shift (6pm – 6am) working 7 days for every 14 days (including weekends)

Overview

• Provide 24x7x365 technical operations support for Mastercard's global infrastructure; with focus on minimizing impact to Customers and internal users.
• This specific opportunity is for early career level staff with some previous technical experience to monitor the infrastructure and be a key stakeholder in Mastercard Incident and Change Management processes.
• Regularly perform data analysis to determine Mastercard's performance and identify areas of improvement.

Role

• Execute Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.
• Perform effective vendor management techniques to ensure forward-progress managed Incidents.
• Monitor the performance of traffic, systems, and central site processing, addressing anomalies detected.
• Conduct quarterly Release and patch rollout for European authorization system
• Route central site and customer traffic as necessary to minimize downtime and impact to the brand and business.

All about You

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of routing, switching, tunneling, and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).
• Expert -level ability to perform post-event analysis.
• Demonstrates the ability to function in at least 1 from 4 of the following disciplines: UNIX, Mainframe, Production Control, File Transfer, Single-Message, Dual-Message, or Network), and has intermediate-level understanding in at least 3 areas.
• Intermediate UNIX scripting and tool monitoring, JCL, MVS, batch scheduling, knowledge of tandem technology.
• You demonstrate comfort in influencing and building relationships internally and externally to achieve successful business outcomes
• Effective organisation skills.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills able to bridge all levels of the organisation up and down to create a shared knowledge and understanding of project details, issues and solutions.
• Suitable candidates will have a passion for learning and thrive in a fast paced environment
• You are a strong team player, resilient and are able to work autonomously
