Designated National Health Service Corps Site- Get Your Loans Repaid!

Franklin Memorial Hospital/MaineHealth, is currently seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our exceptional team of providers in our Family Medicine/Primary Care practices in Livermore Falls and Farmington, Maine. The PA will be responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. This is a team care approach that will be working closely with physicians and other clinicians to provide patients a medical home – seeing 15 to 18 patients daily.

We offer competitive salary and benefits, including student loan repayment and relocation assistance to qualified candidates. Additionally, we are a designated National Health Service Corps site which allow primary care providers to participate in additional competitive loan repayment programs through NHSC.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program with two years of Physician Assistant experience preferred. MSN required.
  • License/Certifications:Active Current Physician Assistant license issued by the State of Maine or eligible of licensure, NCCPA certification.
  • Current BCLS required
  • Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure and functions; and community resources
  • Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff
  • Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination
  • Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results
  • Ability to respond the changing workload based on patient census
  • Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations
  • Proficient computer skills
