Job SummaryDRS RADA Technologies is seeking a Senior Material Handler to support its defense industry operations. This role involves loading, unloading, and moving materials within warehouses, storage facilities, and worksites. The ideal candidate will utilize Deltek Costpoint to track inventory, shipping, and receiving while ensuring accurate documentation of material movement. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and other equipment, managing shipping performance, and maintaining system-critical data. This position requires at least two years of experience and proficiency in Deltek Costpoint or SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Job Responsibilities- Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
- Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals
- Maintain system critical data elements
- May monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping
- Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement
- Read work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
- Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
- Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other device
- Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an Deltek Costpoint
- Use Deltek Costpoint for the management and tracking of inventory, shipping, and receiving
- Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks information
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity
- High school diploma or GED
- Two or more years experience
- Deltek Costpoint or SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience required
- May require forklift certification
U.S. Citizenship required.
The expected pay scale for this position is $39,471/year - $54,272/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
