The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.
Job SummaryWe're seeking a talented and detail-oriented Network Integration Systems Technician to join our team and play a critical role in the development of our products. You'll be responsible for deeply understanding the technical intricacies of our products and their supporting technologies and using that knowledge to integrate and test those products.
- Work with engineers in developing system solutions for systems and systems of systems.
- Help integrate leading-edge capabilities for commercial, intelligence and defense customers.
- Determine hardware compatibility.
- Complete documentation and procedures for integration, testing, installation, and maintenance.
- Support engineering with a variety of moderately complex engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks.
- Able to work independently for a weekly basis.
- Competent technical expertise.
- Comfortable with a shop/laboratory environment.
- Assists in design, build, integration, and/or testing of new or improved electronic assemblies.
- Reviews project documents and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions.
- Sets up and conducts tests of units and components.
- Analyzes test results related to the design and test objectives and adjusts equipment to bring within specifications.
- Records these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods.
- Provides and develops technical documentation.
- May lead technician teams in development or mentor other technicians
- Provides hands-on feedback to engineers
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.
- Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for learning and staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
Desirable Experience
- Embedded systems, and real-time operating systems.
- Administration and configuration of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Integrating and trouble shooting software components.
- Integrating and trouble shooting networked systems.
- Familiarity with TCP, IP, and DNS.
- Configuration, integration and testing of network switches and routers.
- Configuration, integration and testing of tactical radios.
