Job Summary

DRS Network & Imaging Systems in Cypress, CA is part of the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems Group of Leonardo DRS and has over 30 years of experience in designing and developing electro-optical/infrared systems for surveillance and targeting applications. We are seeking a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of the facility to join the company.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of company building(s), equipment, machinery and grounds
  • Plan, schedule, and direct staff of in-house employees and external contractors in the maintenance of company buildings, equipment, machinery and grounds
  • Develop and maintain an operating budget to ensure that such maintenance is carried out on a cost-effective basis
  • Ensure facilities remain operational
  • Responsible to manage the regular maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and other equipment
  • Develop comprehensive annual inspection process for equipment, machinery and facilities
  • May direct building renovation and ensures renovations occur within budgeted levels and conform to company specifications.  May obtain and prepare cost estimates; coordinate all construction, remodeling, and repair projects; and inspect completed work
  • Coordinate/manage insurance and service contract requirements and associated vendors
  • Assure that space-management and project-tracking documentation is accurate and up-to-date to facilitate incorporation of new requirements and projects
  • Resolve and investigate all facility security related issues; develop incident report system
  • May implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with facility security efforts
  • Keep upper management apprised of any developments or problems that may interfere with production/processes or cause property loss
  • Collaborate with other departments on problems concerning facilities
  • Mentor staff by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals and make a consistent effort to go above and beyond
  • Establish, implement, and monitor methods and measures to ensure quality and low cost
  • Develop and manage applicable Emergency Contingency Planning
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Assist management with special projects and assignments as requested
  • Support business plans, acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of 5+ years of facilities experience and/or equipment engineering
  • Working knowledge of processing equipment and related support equipment
  • Working knowledge of electrical power systems as well as HVAC systems and controls 
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience working with subcontractors
  • Proven “hands-on” leadership and people skills
  • Detail oriented, time and cost conscious
  • Demonstrated skills in facility engineering
Working Conditions

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

 

The expected pay scale for this position is $101,237/year - $157,169/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
