The Speech Therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team. Speech Therapists provide speech evaluation and therapy services in accordance with national standards and administrative policies to allow the patient to function to his/her maximum ability.Responsibilities:
- The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of communication, including speech, language and hearing, as well as cognition and dysphasia.
- Works well independently and under the supervision of the Director or his/her designee.
- Minimum of Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Communication Disorders from an accepted graduate program.
- LA State Licensure in Speech Language Pathology recommended, but can qualify if performing Clinical Fellowship Year at LRMC.
- Current BLS
