Under the direction of the Cardiac Cath Lab Coordinator, Department Director, in consultation with the Medical Director, performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures for the invasive and non-invasive cardiology departments, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Responsible for patient care and comfort during completion of required procedures.
Responsible for the assessment, treatment or care appropriate to the ages of the patients served: i.e., Adult and Geriatric. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs; possesses knowledge of growth and development; and has an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups. Must be able to perform all duties while maintaining and projecting an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork with the highest moral and ethical standards.
QualificationsA. Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Utah. Maintains current Healthcare Provider BLS certification, and obtains PALS within 6 months of hire. B. Education: BSN preferred C. Experience: 1 year acute care experience. D. One year Cath Lab, one year Intensive Care, or one year Emergency Room preferred. Must have documented competency in interpretation of EKG and hemodynamics.
R.C.I.S., A.R.R.T and State of Utah Radiology technologist license, C.V.T, R.T.or equivalent.
