Key ResponsibilitiesThe -Data Visualization Engineer Intern exists as a developmental support position for our R&D team. The position will be involved in day-to-day R&D support activities and also be responsible for completing 1-2 larger, long-term projects which will be defined at the beginning of the rotation. Interns will be targeted at the sophomore and junior levels and will complete 2-3 rotations within the Company's R&D lab sites and may be assigned to locations in Savannah, GA or Houston, TX.
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Define and complete 1-2 large projects within the rotation period.
- Gain knowledge of the Company's R&D processes and provide analytical support as needed.
- Participate in lab management and departmental team meetings.
- Create and deliver end-of-semester presentations/report to senior management and executive leadership.
- Create new visual reports.
- Upgrade Current reports and databases to increase ease of use.
- Drive innovative storytelling through data visualization.
- Creating and editing visual content including databases, charts, and graphs
- Transform datasets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals.
- Communication of data visualizations for ease of decision-making
- Keen focus on personal and physical safety.
- Storytelling through Data Operates with integrity.

- Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work off hours if needed/necessary.
- Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate (sophomore, junior, senior) student pursuing a bachelor's degree in academic discipline or related field of study.
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA.
- Classes in natural science are a plus
