The Export Documentation Coordinator manages the process of creating and consolidating export documentation for Ocean and Air exports out of EU to customers around the world. You will reside within the Central Logistics department of Kraton and will be required to work closely together with our Ocean & Air logistics coordinators as well as customer service in Asia, EU and North America. This role offers the opportunity to learn more about international logistics and trade compliance. The nature of this role requires regular presence in our office in Almere. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor export shipments and the customer specific document requirements.
  • Request and create documents with external parties and on external platforms (Bank letters, Insurance Certificates, Certificates of Origin, EUR1, ATR, etc)
  • Manage the cost of external documents and invoice settlements where needed with Accounts Payable. 
  • Collect Kraton internal documents like Invoice, Packing List, Packing Declaration, MSDS, PDS, CoA etc.
  • Monitor and report on the timely and accurate issuance of Bills of Lading by Freight Forwarders.
  • Consolidate the full document set including the bill of lading from the freight forwarder. 
  • Print, Scan and get signatures as needed before distributing the document set digitally and/or via courier to the customer. 
  • Create and manage an internal reporting system to track export document status, identify delays or issues, and resolve these with the freight forwarder and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the full document set is received by the customer in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure that all export documentation complies with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies. 
  • Stay updated on any changes to trade compliance laws that may impact documentation requirements.

Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • MBO+ degree or higher, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain
