We're seeking a Workforce Engagement Specialist (long term contract) to work at a college in Farmington Hills. Sound good? Take a closer look below. Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour

What's a typical day as Workforce Engagement Specialist? You'll be:
  • Assisting with outreach, recruiting, and follow-up communications to promote programs for Government & Community Relations and Continuing Education.
  • Developing a variety of educational programs for businesses and individuals for the Economic and Workforce Development Department.
  • Utilizing tracking systems to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinating outreach events to promote the Economic and Workforce Development Department.
  • Assisting with coordination of registration processes for programs and resolving issues with event registration, room scheduling, etc.
  • Familiarizing participants with the processes and resources available at the college and partner organizations.
  • Collaborating with staff and partner organizations to coordinate program assessment and evaluation and recommending improvements.
  • Preparing, editing, and finalizing written materials such as letters, memos, correspondence, forms, contracts, presentations, and reports.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and college-wide systems.
  • Possess skills in training program development.
  • Can maintain confidentiality and work cooperatively and courteously with a broad spectrum of college employees, students, and the public.
  • Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Are detail-oriented and able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Can manage multiple priorities, including special projects.
  • Hold an Associate degree (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Have one (1) or more years of experience in training program coordination within general business or industry.
