Welding Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our team. As a Welding Technician, you will be responsible for operating welding equipment, performing simple measurements, and finishing instruments. You will also be required to read and understand blueprints. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

Job Specifications:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Location: Oklahoma City, OK 
• Pay Rate: $24.00
• Shift: 7:30 AM -4:00 PM 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate welding equipment, including GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes
• Perform simple measurements using micrometers, angle finders, and calipers
• Read and understand blueprints to ensure accurate welding and finishing processes
• Assemble instruments by utilizing basic finishing techniques such as bending, fitting, grinding, sharpening, deburring, tumbling, and basic blending and polishing
• Operate deburring and polishing equipment to achieve desired instrument finish

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Proven experience in operating welding equipment, specifically GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes
• Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints
•  Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements using micrometers, angle finders, and calipers
• Knowledge of basic finishing techniques such as bending, fitting, grinding, sharpening, deburring, tumbling, and basic blending and polishing
•  Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
