Salary Range: Up to $25/hour (Based on experience)
Position Type: Full-Time/ Temp to Hire
Schedule: 2nd shift Monday – Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a Metals Manufacturing team and help cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with potentially dangerous equipment. Knowledge of different types of metal and their properties is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and technical drawings, take measurements, and plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on job requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding
• Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces into position
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to detect any flaws
• Maintain equipment in a safe and operational condition

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Proven experience as a welder
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (e.g., TIG, MMA, etc.)
• Proficiency in using electrical or manual tools (e.g., squares, calipers)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to wear protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and dexterity
• Proficiency in English
• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
• Professional Certification (e.g., AWS welding certificate) is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

• CWI or CRAWL certification is highly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
