Wastewater Operator – Full Time
Location: Attleboro Falls, MA
Pay: $25-30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
**MUST have a Massachusetts Industrial Wastewater License Class 1 or 2-I (or higher)**
A leading U.S. manufacturer specializing in precision metal products and decorative finishes for government, public safety, and private-sector organizations is seeking a skilled Wastewater Treatment Operator. This facility produces high-quality metal insignia, medallions, and other specialty items, using advanced chemical and finishing processes that require careful wastewater management and environmental compliance.
Position OverviewThe Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of wastewater treatment systems used in metal finishing and coating processes. This role involves monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining chemical and mechanical systems to ensure full compliance with environmental and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial or manufacturing setting with a focus on wastewater treatment, chemical handling, and hazardous waste management.
Key Responsibilities-
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and related equipment.

Adjust process controls to maintain proper flow, chemical balance, and system performance.

Conduct sampling, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Handle and manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials according to environmental and company procedures.

Maintain detailed operational and compliance records, including waste manifests and inspection logs.

Coordinate waste shipments and ensure proper labeling, packaging, and segregation for transport.

Perform regular facility inspections, housekeeping, and maintenance of equipment.

Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding system performance, maintenance needs, and safety issues.

Participate in training programs and maintain required certifications.

Follow all company policies, safety standards, and environmental procedures.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Massachusetts Industrial Wastewater License Class 1 or 2-I (or higher) preferred.

Prior experience operating or maintaining wastewater or chemical processing systems in an industrial environment strongly preferred.

Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, safety documents, and data logs.

Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.
