Now Hiring: Customer Service Representative – Long Beach, CA
Pay: $23/hour
Location: Long Beach, CA
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-330pm
Type: Temp-to-Hire
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team in Long Beach. This position plays a vital role in our distribution branch, managing responsibilities across customer service, inside sales, warehouse support, and administrative functions.
The ideal candidate will bring industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers via phone, email, and in person.
- Process sales calls, quote requests, and product orders from start to delivery.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships, including upselling and follow-through on all orders.
- Track and follow up on quotes, lost sales, and expedite requests.
- Collaborate with outside sales, purchasing, warehouse, billing, and management teams.
- Monitor inventory levels, product availability, and pricing.
- Coordinate delivery logistics to meet customer expectations.
- Negotiate customer quotes and proposals.
- Assist with credit and collections for assigned branch accounts.
- Occasionally accompany sales representatives on customer visits.
- Manage returns, arrange special deliveries, and process credit card payments.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and occasional warehouse tasks (forklift operation, order picking/packing).
- 1–2 years of B2B sales or customer service experience (experience in industrial insulation, building materials, plumbing, or HVAC preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and provide consultative customer support.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
