Salary: $150,000k-$170,000k
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice-President of Sales to lead our client's sales organization and drive revenue growth across key markets. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a proven track record in managing high-performing sales teams, optimizing performance, and expanding market presence. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the company's growth strategy, overseeing national and international sales initiatives, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Set and execute the strategic direction of the sales department in alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team, promoting accountability and professional development.
- Play a pivotal role in business planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support company growth initiatives.
- Oversee territory planning, performance tracking, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement performance metrics to assess and improve individual and team results.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans to achieve targets.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts, including national and corporate clients.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen brand visibility.
- Lead customer engagement efforts to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Partner with marketing to align sales strategies with brand messaging, lead generation, and product launches.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, operations, and service teams to ensure smooth handoffs and customer fulfillment.
- Organize and lead internal sales meetings and ensure continuous communication across departments.
- Evaluate and refine sales channels to optimize market coverage.
- Support international and regional business development initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- An advanced degree or equivalent industry experience is an asset.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership, preferably in a B2B or technical/manufacturing environment.
- Proven success in managing large teams and national/international sales strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and improve sales performance.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and develop actionable sales plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with high-level stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales performance software.
- Familiarity with contract law, budgeting, and pricing strategy.
