
Description
The Utilities Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all utility systems and equipment to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service. This includes managing systems related to water, gas, electricity, HVAC, and other essential services required for facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Utility Systems:
- Monitor and control utility systems, including boilers, chillers, HVAC, water treatment, and electrical systems.
- Adjust system settings as needed to maintain optimal performance.
- Routine Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on utility equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor issues and escalate major repairs to appropriate personnel.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Maintain logs and records of equipment performance, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Analyze data and report any discrepancies or unusual patterns to management.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct safety checks and participate in safety training and drills.
- Efficiency and Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
- Suggest and implement improvements to operating procedures.
- Technical or Assocoiate Degree..
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in utility operations or a related field.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
