We're seeking an Upholstery Technician I to work with us at Gulfstream, a world-class aircraft manufacturer in Savannah, GA (31408).

What's a typical day as an Upholstery Technician I? You'll be:
  • Fabricating and installing upholstery, panels, and simple patterns for aircraft interiors

  • Performing upholstery tasks following design drawings, FAA guidelines, customer requirements, and Gulfstream specifications

  • Fitting and installing cabin headliners, sidewalls, panels, windows, hatch panels, carpets, bulkhead coverings, and other interior components

  • Creating carpet patterns based on design drawings and completing installation

  • Using Gulfstream's material tracking system to request parts, update status, track squawks, and sign off work

  • Performing additional duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • A High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • Entry-level experience or willingness to learn

  • Experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools used in upholstery or carpet trades (preferred)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

  • Strong measuring skills and basic math abilities

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Ability to climb ladders, work in restricted spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work assigned shifts

  • A valid Driver's License
