Turnaround Scheduler – Oil & Gas (Primavera Required)
Location: Beaumont, TX
Pay Rate: $78/hr (DOE)
Contract: 12-Months, Full-Time

Example of some of the primary expectations.
Must be proficient in Primavera scheduling have ability to take instruction from Mechanical Lead Planner, and develop schedule coordinating with mechanical, process, and contractor resources. Must be able to learn ExxonMobil TA Practices. Expected to coordinate with multiple functions to identify necessary resources. Must communicate with planning and execution team to assist in coordination of activities and have ability to monitor and report on progress. Participate and present in optimization reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize Primavera schedules for turnaround projects, coordinating mechanical, process, and contractor resources.
  • Translate job plans into actionable schedules, including resource requirements, safety plans, task sequencing, durations, and cost estimates.
  • Work closely with Mechanical Lead Planner and planning/execution teams to ensure schedules are accurate and reflect current progress.
  • Update schedules to incorporate approved changes, new job requirements, and feedback from field execution.
  • Create and maintain detailed milestone schedules, Gantt charts, and critical/near-critical path analyses.
  • Support workflow by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting turnaround schedule progress, risks, and look-ahead activities.
  • Participate in turnaround reviews, optimization sessions, and peer assists.
  • Coordinate planning resources to meet safety, quality, and cost objectives and compliance with ExxonMobil TA Practices.
  • Maintain effective communication on scope changes, field orders, budgets, progress, contractor utilization, and schedule updates.
Scheduling Functions:
  • Develop, manage, and optimize integrated schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, process, contractors) to identify and coordinate required resources.
  • Steward schedule updates and ensure all field activities align with plan milestones.
  • Present scheduling analysis and progress in team optimization reviews, assisting leadership decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in turnaround scheduling with 10 years in similar role with oil & gas industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and contracting work scopes.
  • Proven ability to take instruction, communicate quickly, and work in a fast-paced, multi-functional team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to monitor, report, and adjust schedules efficiently.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with site-specific protocols.
  • Physical ability to access field locations, perform job observations, and participate in pre-startup safety reviews.
