WHAT WILL YOU BE EXPECTED TO DO?
Tattnall County Nutrition is a team. They will rely on your enthusiasm to learn and desire to be a bright spot in our students' day:
1. Prepare menu items when not in service:
· Read and use recipes to prepare items for breakfast, lunch, and supper.
· Nutrition works in large quantities, but many of its items are easily assembled, packaged, or re-heated.
· Complete preparation of items within established time guidelines.
2. Work in an assigned position during service:
· Serving students on a serving line
· Set up food and service items on serving counters and lines
· Cooking
· Food preparation
· Dish room
· Cashiering (entering student information into a register)
3. Perform other general duties as assigned:
· Cleaning work area
· Putting up stock
· General cleaning of equipment and kitchen/dining room area
TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THESE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· This job requires lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching; and significant fine finger dexterity.
· There may be long periods of standing.
· Work is performed under some temperature extremes, with exposure to moving mechanical parts. Noise level in the work environment can be loud.
· You will be asked to go in and out of a walk-in cooler or freezer as you prepare food or put up stock.
Requirements:
· High School diploma/GED
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Must be able to read/write in English
