Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Onsite, with potential for hybrid work (Fenton, MO)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible start between 7:00 to 8:00 AM

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

Job Description

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations at this company, supporting the core values of Love, Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record detailed journal entries in Salesforce/Accounting Seed.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations for ministry accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare allocations and generate detailed reports, including Trial Balances, Financial Statements, Flux Analysis, and monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Assist management in preparing for audits, writing procedures, and completing special projects.
  • Manage fixed assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and year-end inventory tracking.
  • Maintain communication with the Controller regarding relevant updates.
  • Support general ledger account coding and utilize Microsoft Navision functions.
  • Stay updated with U.S. accounting standards to maintain professional knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to expert level, including vlookup and pivot tables) and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision or similar ERP accounting systems, Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to various levels within the organization.
