Description
Under limited supervision, the Senior Maintenance Technician will execute maintenance activities, operate assigned equipment, and manage facility, utility, and HVAC systems in accordance with established guidelines. The role involves intermediate troubleshooting and employing advanced predictive technologies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute advanced maintenance activities and monitor complex plant support equipment, investigating issues with guidance from senior personnel.
- Assist in maintaining an up-to-date spare parts inventory system for responsible equipment and systems.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to keep work areas and equipment clean.
- Complete operational log paperwork, daily log files, and work order documentation accurately.
- Provide detailed training to team members to enhance their knowledge in maintenance and operations.
- Ensure all work complies with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans, and company policies.
- Maintain an updated cGMP training book.
- Develop, revise, and review SOPs or job plans/work plans for maintenance areas.
- Evaluate and optimize current maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and system failures.
- Assign daily tasks to technicians and ensure adherence to schedules, coordinating with schedulers as needed.
- Interpret and review plans related to utility, process systems, plumbing, ductwork, architectural, and HVAC P&IDs.
- Provide basic support for the startup of new equipment to ensure compliance with mechanical design specifications.
- Assist in developing and executing validation documents for mechanical equipment.
- Potentially lead responsibilities within the work team.
- Maintain availability for on-call response by carrying a pager or cell phone.
- Demonstrate expertise in multiple advanced maintenance technologies to enhance equipment reliability.
Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree with 4 years of maintenance experience; OR
- High school diploma/GED with 6 years of maintenance experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to collaborate constructively with peers and teams.
- Knowledge in one or more technical areas: Utility Plant Operations/Maintenance, Process Equipment/System Maintenance, HVAC Operations/Maintenance, or Fire Systems.
