Job Title:
Shipping & Receiving Lead

Pay Range:  $23.58
Hours: 
Monday - Friday 3PM - 11PM

Position Summary: The Shipping Department Lead works with the Shift Leads to ensures the safety of all personnel, and that all dock operations are conducted efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy. The Department Lead serves as the subject matter expert for their department and is the point of contact for coordinating and resolving issues effecting daily operations.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform all the job duties of a Shift Lead in the areas of shipping and receiving, assigning work to their teams, as well as required paperwork and tasks. 
  • Ensures that all dock safety procedures are being followed
  • Manages the training program, ensuring that training is effective and tracked.
  • Work with the Load Planner to ensure efficient dock scheduling
  • Ensure that shift teams follow dock schedules
  • Ensure that department personnel are following proper procedures to maintain the accuracy of all shipping and receiving operations, including outbound finished goods, blank transfers, and roll shipments, along with deliveries of roll stock, shippers, outsourced window blanks, pallets and sundry items.
  • Receives outsourced window blanks into SAP
  • Ensures that received material is picked up from staging areas by responsible parties.
  • Ensure that Shift Leads are updating Open Dock with accurate status
  • Ensure that drivers are being checked in and out professionally and efficiently
  • Order supplies as needed such as airbags and trailer seals.
  • Timely resolution of any discovered inventory discrepancies in finished goods or blanks.
  • Ensures that all office files and required documentation are maintained as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED or
  • 1-3 years of Shipping and Receiving experience
  • Team?oriented with a positive, “can?do” attitude
  • Physically capable of prolonged standing and full?range movement (bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, reaching)
  • Effective communication skills
  • SAP skills preferred
  • Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Flexible schedule, including potential overtime, weekend work, or call?ins based on production needs
