What's a typical day as a Service and Repair Technician? You'll be:
• Performing routine and semi-complex technical evaluations on field returns requiring expertise in all aspects of electrical and/or mechanical engineering
• Generating formal field complaint investigation results
• Repairing and calibrating customer devices returned from the field or in-house measuring equipment
• Troubleshooting, testing, and performing routine and complex electrical and mechanical repairs/investigations
• Providing technical product support to customers via telephone
• Recording, evaluating, and analyzing data and reporting findings
• Mentoring and training junior technicians on troubleshooting and repair techniques

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have an Associate's degree or two-year vocational/technical diploma in Electronics, or a high school diploma or equivalent with eight years progressive experience in servicing and repairing within the medical device industry
• Have experience using meters to measure voltage, current, and resistance measurements
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have knowledge of electronics principles and medical devices
• Have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with returned devices
• Have the ability to develop new approaches and techniques for troubleshooting and repairing field return devices
• Have the ability to provide training and technical guidance to lower-level technicians as well as customers or vendors
