Company Overview

Our client is an early-stage, innovation-driven biotechnology company focused on developing next-generation regenerative therapies at the intersection of stem cell and exosome biology, developmental science, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence.

They are now seeking a strategically-minded Scientist to help drive their research and development efforts into preclinical and early clinical stages.

Position Summary

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence therapeutic strategy from an early stage. The successful candidate will bring scientific expertise, cross-disciplinary thinking, and strategic insight to guide research direction, collaborate with external CROs and partners, and support key translational milestones.

They are looking for a candidate who can synthesize complex scientific information, contribute to preclinical and clinical development planning, and play a pivotal role in integrating emerging technologies—including AI and nanotechnology—into the development pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific leadership and strategic input across programs focused on stem cell-and exosome-based therapies in regenerative medicine.
  • Collaborate with CROs, academic partners, and internal stakeholders to guide the design, execution, and interpretation of preclinical and early clinical studies.
  • Support the development of IND-enabling study plans, regulatory documentation, and cross-functional communication related to translational strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate emerging technologies (e.g., nanomaterials, machine learning, high-throughput screening) into the therapeutic development pipeline.
  • Translate high-level research questions into actionable study designs; synthesize data and insights to inform go/no-go decisions and program prioritization.
  • Participate in the evaluation of novel platforms, tools, or partnerships that could enhance program success.
  • Contribute to internal and external communications, including scientific presentations, publications, and investor or partner meetings.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ph.D. in Stem Cell and Exosome Biology, Developmental Biology, Bioengineering, Translational Science, or a related life science discipline.
  • 2–5 years of postdoctoral or industry experience with demonstrated impact in translational or early-stage therapeutic development.
  • Broad understanding of stem cell and exosome biology, organoid systems, or tissue engineering, ideally with exposure to regulatory and clinical development processes.
  • Experience collaborating with CROs or external partners in the context of preclinical or clinical research.
  • Strong interest or background in nanotechnology, computational biology, or AI-enabled approaches in life sciences.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior involvement in regulatory submissions (e.g., INDs), clinical trial planning, or interactions with regulatory agencies.
  • Familiarity with the integration of data science tools, machine learning models, or multi-omic data interpretation in therapeutic research.
  • Experience in a small company or startup environment, with the flexibility and initiative that such settings require.
  • Publication or patent record demonstrating innovative, cross-disciplinary work.
