Overview

Our client is a leader in developing sustainable technologies to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products. They design and operate large-scale industrial processes to recover, refine, and remanufacture critical materials, helping reduce the environmental footprint and cost of advanced batteries.

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support operations across office and production facilities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Facilities Operations and Maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency in a high-tech, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of facility systems and equipment to improve reliability, efficiency, capacity, and quality.
  • Apply root cause analysis to continuously improve design, installation, and operation of mechanical systems.
  • Oversee commissioning of new equipment and systems, including procedure development, review, and execution oversight.
  • Track and report on system demand, capacity, and operational KPIs, identifying and implementing improvement projects.
  • Provide engineering support to technicians, including procedure creation and review.
  • Manage small-scale projects and oversee contractors and third-party service providers.
  • Develop and implement facilities processes and procedures.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years supporting Facilities Maintenance, Operations, or Production organizations.
  • Experience in large industrial environments, including operation and maintenance of HVAC, compressors, chillers, chemical systems, scrubbers, pure water, and wastewater systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for mechanical systems.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and adaptable to contribute at all levels.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
