Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Senior Controls Engineer with Signode Industrial Group, a global leader in industrial packaging and automation solutions that support manufacturing, logistics, and consumer goods industries worldwide.

  • Pay Rate: $80/hour 

  • Location: Edmond, OK 73013

  • Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

  • Employment Type: Urgent short-term (01/01/2026–01/16/2026) with possible extension

  • Work Arrangement: Onsite

What's a typical day as a Senior Controls Engineer? You will:
  • Design, program, test, and implement complete machine control systems

  • Review customer requirements and propose automation and controls solutions

  • Program and troubleshoot PLC, robotics, HMI, servo, and motion control systems

  • Support system startup, troubleshooting, and optimization following recent installation

  • Develop engineering documentation including wiring schematics, BOMs, and panel drawings

  • Interface with manufacturing to ensure equipment meets design and customer specifications

  • Maintain detailed project documentation and records

  • Participate in customer and sales presentations as needed

  • Stay current with controls and automation technologies

  • Travel occasionally (domestic and international, if required)

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • 5–7+ years of hands-on experience with machine control systems

  • Strong PLC and robotics programming experience (from scratch, complex applications)

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Omron PLCs

  • Hands-on experience with HMI, servo, and motion control systems

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD

  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, short-term engagement
