- Core Responsibilities
- Independently prepares and reviews work in the following areas:
- Journal entries, such as accrued liabilities, prepaid expense, intangibles, leased assets, various taxes, and contingent consideration
- Balance sheet account reconciliations
- Balance sheet account roll forwards, including variance analysis and explanations
- Compare and analyze bank statements
- Track and maintain reporting for fixed assets
- Prepare and present variance commentary of the monthly actuals review
- Support internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements
- Process fixed asset changes, such as retirements, closeouts and capitalization
- Analysis of P&L's
- Other Responsibilities
- Support departmental, functional and corporate initiatives
- Assist with the application of GAAP to new transactions
- Establish rapport and build cooperative, respectful working relationships with relevant internal and external parties
- As departmental workloads change, additional responsibilities may be required
Qualifications:- Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Required: Advanced MS Excel / MS Office
- Preferred: CPA, MBA and/or public accounting experience
- Preferred: Experience with HFM/PeopleSoft/SAP
- Preferred: 2-6 years of experience with similar responsibilities in a $500M+ business
- Creative problem solver
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Process mindset with focus on continuous improvement
- Knowledge of internal controls and segregation of duties
- Performs well under pressure (e.g. changing priorities and tight deadlines)
- Demonstrates high level of maturity, self-motivation and team-orientation
