Kelly Science has an immediate opening for a Scientist I – Wet Chemistry & Analytical Testing for our growing client near Cleveland, OH

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Pay: $22-$24/hr
Are you passionate about chemistry and looking to launch or grow your career in a cutting-edge laboratory environment? We are seeking a Scientist I to join our dynamic team, where you will play a key role in quality testing for materials, finished products, and stability studies.
What You'll Do:As a Scientist I, you will be hands-on in the lab, performing wet chemistry techniques such as pH measurements, titrations, UV analysis, and physical appearance assessments. Over time, you'll be introduced to advanced analytical instrumentation, including HPLC. Your work will directly impact the quality and integrity of our products, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct analytical testing using wet chemistry techniques.
? Determine appropriate specifications and methods for analysis.
? Document test activities clearly in laboratory notebooks and worksheets.
? Execute mathematical calculations according to test methods.
? Assess data to verify compliance with specifications.
? Perform limited peer reviews of data to maintain accuracy.
? Operate analytical instruments under the supervision of senior scientists.
? Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
? Assist with general laboratory duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related science with at least 20 credit hours of chemistry coursework, including analytical chemistry.
? Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience with wet chemistry techniques.
- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation (HPLC experience is a plus!).
- Strong attention to detail in sample preparation, record-keeping, and data analysis.
- Experience with laboratory software (e.g., Empower) is a plus.
