Safety/ Welding Specialist  (Louisville, KY)

POSITION OVERVIEW: 
Our client is seeking a first shift Quality/Safety coordinator working 10-hour shift Monday to Thursday to actively coordinate our Safety and Quality programs. Implement quality inspection criteria and procedures by observing and directing workers involved in inspection and quality control actions with regard to purchased material, in-process material, and finished products.  Ensure that the required standards are achieved, and customers' specifications are met.

EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE:
High School Diploma/GED- Required.
Certified Weld Inspector /CWI – Required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Understanding of ISO requirements (9001, 14001, and 45001).
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Reliability, dependability, and punctuality are a must.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong math, verbal, and literacy skills
Accurate and timely data entry skills
The facility is very fast paced, and the candidate must learn quickly and be able to manage time well.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily QA production audits.
Monitoring ISO9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 program implementation in the facility.
Perform daily record reviews to ensure all internal and regulatory requirements are met.
Work with Plant Manager & Shop Supervisor to resolve all quality and safety issues.
Work with production on solution to problems resulting in out-of-specification products/product hold.
Perform routine audits of documentation and processes.
Ensure a clean, safe work area(s) throughout the shift and assist in quality control inspection actions as necessary.
Deliver safety and quality training for facility team members.
Keep positive and helpful attitude.
