Kelly Services is currently seeking a Safety Team Lead for a Company located in East Syracuse, NY!

 

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!

Job Title: Safety Team Lead

Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM

Pay Range: 55K - 65K per year

Benefits: Full benefits offered, 401k and PTO.

 

Job Summary: Responsible for all safety health and environmental initiatives of the plant, perform safety audits, implements GAP safety and environmental SOP's to comply with all corporate policies goals and objectives

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure plant and plant personnel operate with companies safety guidelines
  • Ensure plant compliant with local, State & Federal environmental regulations
  • Manage and execute all GAP strategies and program initiatives
  • Track performance on safety and report to supervisors and management
  • Train and develop team members to meet corporate health, safety, & environmental guidelines
  • Maintain safety documents for all plant personnel
  • Lead safety committee & review all pending safety or environmental concerns, risks, & develop mitigation plans 
  • Develop & lead group projects targeting safety systems and manufacturing improvements 
  • Work with Regional HSE Manager & US HSE Compliance Manager to address plant risks 
  • Perform orientation safety training & walkthroughs for all new hires
  • Be KEY person to drive continuous improvement at the plants & strengthen internal policies, procedures, & systems around safety

Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in a safety role in a manufacturing experience
  • At least 2+years is required.
  • HS Diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Strong focus orientation, strong employer relation skills can work with diverse backgrounds
  • Can work cross functionally and multi task orientated.
  • Experience managing HSE performance and programs
