Environmental Health Safety Regulatory Compliance Specialist Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. The EHS Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our regulatory compliance programs. This role requires a strong understanding of EHS regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Communicate with executives, managers, and employees to determine EHS and operational compliance-related priorities.
  • Review, update, and create documentation, processes, and practices for hazardous materials and product options.
  • Develop and enact regulatory compliance strategies.
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance procedures across organizational structures.
  • Provide training in compliance practices and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance and facilitate interventions to manage risks.
  • Perform compliance audits and compiling reports.
  • Document compliance-related processes and maintaining records.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment.
EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:
  • B.S. or B.A. in a technical field
  • A qualification in regulatory and compliance assurance is advantageous.
EXPERIENCE:
  • At least tw0-three years experience as a regulatory compliance specialist, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and laws
  • Experience with an ERP enterprise resource planning system is helpful; Great Plains GP , Vicinity or WERCS experience is a plus .
SKILLS:
  • Highly knowledgeable with EHS regulatory laws, statutes, and reporting requirements.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with leadership to interpret written material, including technical information, rules, regulations, executive orders, and laws.
  • Strong administrative, analytical, organizational, planning, problem-solving and training skills are required.
  • Multi-tasking and the ability to work well under stress is necessary.
  • Experience with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data collection and presentation.
