Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Research Associate near Rochester, MN. You will join a team that focuses on groundbreaking cell, gene, and virus therapies. Direct Hire
Shift:
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Compensation: $58,000 - $65,000/year with additional sign on and Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • This is an entry level position which requires execution of experiments under supervision, with an opportunity to grow as an independent scientist.
  • Maintain mammalian cell lines in culture and isolate primary cells from whole blood and other tissues.
  • Perform transfection and infection of cell culture with different viral and non-viral vectors.
  • Perform ELISA and cell-based assays.
  • Perform basic cloning, plasmid, RNA and gDNA isolation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to advance cross-functional scientific projects and standardize adoption of new scientific techniques.
  • Following an onboarding period, the candidate will perform experimental research under supervision and in close collaboration with the rest of the scientific team.

Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in molecular/Cellular Biology, Virology, Biochemistry or related field.
  • Proof of laboratory experience.
  • Must have experience with eukaryotic cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques.
  • Ability to work and learn in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization.
