We are seeking a skilled Test and Reliability Engineer to join our remote engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing tests to ensure that products meet strict reliability and quality standards. You will analyze data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key part in improving product robustness throughout its lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability and test plans for new and existing products.
- Design, perform, and document rigorous product and system-level tests, including accelerated life testing, environmental stress testing, and failure analysis.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve issues and enhance product reliability.
- Lead reliability prediction assessments, such as MTBF calculations and risk analysis.
- Support regulatory and compliance testing (UL, EMC, thermal, etc.).
- Generate detailed test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Drive quality improvement activities based on test and reliability insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field required).
- 3+ years' experience in test or reliability engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of reliability principles, testing methodologies, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with root cause analysis and failure prediction techniques.
- Hands-on proficiency with laboratory test equipment and test automation tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (UL, EMC, IEC, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with reliability modeling software and data analysis tools.
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with product development lifecycles.
