For over a century, Johnson & Johnson has been at the forefront of medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing. As production demand reaches new heights, we would like to hire a full-time R&D Project Administrator to drive new product development and support NPI implementation.

Position Title: R&D Project Administrator
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Hourly Compensation: $40

Position Summary:
Johnson & Johnson, is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of innovative electrophysiology products, including catheters, mapping systems, and ablation tools, designed to treat heart arrhythmias. Their advanced medical devices help physicians diagnose, treat, and manage various cardiac conditions.
The R&D Project Administrator will play a key role in supporting the new product development (NPD) and new product introduction (NPI) processes. This position will assist in sourcing engineering materials, managing inventory, and supporting design control to ensure the efficient development and lifecycle management of products. The R&D Project Administrator will coordinate logistics, budgets, and contracts, directly contributing to the success of Johnson & Johnson's product development initiatives. This role will ensure the team has the resources and support needed to bring life-saving innovations to market.

Responsibilities:
Material & Supply Chain Management:

  • Sourcing and procuring engineering materials for new product development.
  • Managing the supply chain and inventory for new product materials.
  • Ensuring design control throughout the new product development process.
Project Coordination & Administrative Support:
  • Assisting in tracking and managing training for R&D team members.
  • Coordinating logistics, travel, and contracts for healthcare professionals (HCPs) involved in research and development.
  • Handling budget tracking, purchase order requisitions, and financial reporting in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Operational & Compliance Support:
  • Managing and maintaining Device History Files (DHF) for project documentation.
  • Overseeing work order execution and related administrative tasks.
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives related to cost efficiency, business continuity, and product development.
Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinating communication for R&D initiatives and updates.
  • Working closely with internal engineers, external vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience OR
  • Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Medical device industry experience is highly preferred.
Technical & Software Proficiency:
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with PLM systems and J&J-specific platforms like Totality, JDE, ARIBA, Windchill.
Key Competencies:
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work with internal engineers & external vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Financial accounting experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with product development processes, including BOM (Bills of Materials) and routings.
