Kelly Science & Clinical is looking for a Quality Specialist / Chemist to support a global pharmaceutical client in Rochester, MI. We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Quality Specialist / Chemist. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct data review and approvals of various analytical data sets generated from High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), wet chemistry, and other related analyses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance (QA) with experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and approve analytical data including HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry data.
  • Ensure compliance with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards and familiarity with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the QC/QA writing team within the Quality Control (QC) department.
  • Utilize technical expertise to assess compliance with procedures and ensure traceability of data.
  • Conduct data review almost akin to a peer review structure, emphasizing the importance of meticulous scrutiny.
  • Develop and maintain QA checklists to ensure that all packets meet specified criteria.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum of a few years of bench experience in a laboratory setting.
  • At least one year of experience in data review within a quality assurance role in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to comprehend complex analytical procedures.
  • Familiarity with QA processes and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
