Quality Lab Assistant

Kelly Services is seeking a motivated detail-oriented individual to join our lab team as a Quality Lab Assistant. This position will play a key role in maintaining lab cleanliness, supporting sample processing, and assisting in testing procedures. While prior lab experience is a plus, we are open to training the right candidate!

Location: Canton
Pay Rate: $18–$20/hour (up to $24/hour with lab experience)
Training & Schedule:
Training: 2 weeks on day shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Regular Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM (flexibility of 1 hour on start/end time available, but must be consistent)
After training, you will work independently for part of the shift, with support nearby

Responsibilities:

• Wash and maintain lab glassware and equipment.
• Log incoming samples and customer information accurately via data entry.
• Track and confirm turnaround times for sample testing and documentation.
• Dispose of recycling and trash appropriately (must be able to lift to 50 lbs. including trash bags and 5-gallon containers of fluid or oil).
• Assist with running lab tests by preparing and placing oil samples into machines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior lab experience or familiarity with testing equipment (plus not required).
• Comfortable using computers for data entry.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat).
• Must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
