Quality Control Analytical Chemist (Cosmetic Chemist)
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a highly motivated individual for the following position:

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (Temp-to-Hire)
- Pay Rate: $27/hour DOE
Occasional weekend or overtime work may be required.

The Quality Control Analytical Chemist is responsible for analyzing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in supporting cosmetic and OTC product manufacturing, ensuring product quality and consistency through robust testing and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:-
Conduct routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, bulk, and finished products.

Perform testing using methods such as pH, viscosity, moisture, specific gravity, titration assays, FTIR, and organoleptic assessments.

Support method development, qualification, and tech transfer activities.

Review and analyze QC data trends and report deviations or concerns.

Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and maintain accurate laboratory records in compliance with GMP standards.

Participate in lab investigations, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Contribute to the development and improvement of SOPs, methods, and QC procedures.

Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Parts 11, 210, 211 and data integrity expectations.

Support internal and external audits and maintain QC lab readiness.

Attend daily/weekly meetings and provide updates/escalations as necessary.

Maintain exemplary safety, attendance, and documentation standards.

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Chemistry or related science field.

2–3 years of QC lab experience, preferably in the cosmetics or OTC industry.

Experience in analytical testing methods (listed above); microbiological testing experience is a plus.

Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and FDA regulatory requirements.

Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

Demonstrates timeliness and accuracy in completing assignments.

Maintains punctual and consistent attendance.

Upholds company policies and standards.

Manages documentation in an organized and timely manner.
