Production Quality Inspector – Pharmaceutical
Richmond, VA

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
• Conduct routine quality inspections, pre-operational checks, and finished product assessments.
• Verify and maintain accurate records, including logbooks and Packaging Instruction Documents.
• Initiate Defective Material Reports for raw materials or packaging components as needed.
• Support root cause analysis and participate in CAPA processes.
Leadership and Initiative
• Lead production line teams to ensure efficiency and compliance with quality standards.
• Train on SOPs related to quality checks, documentation, and compliance.
• Halt production when quality deviations occur, gather relevant data, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Provide timely feedback and recommend solutions for quality issues • Participate in internal and external audits, operational reviews, and walkthroughs.
Safety and Compliance
• Strictly adhere to PPE requirements and safety protocols.
• Identify, report, and resolve unsafe conditions or behaviors promptly.
• Ensure work areas are maintained according to 5S principles and housekeeping standards.
Analytical Skills
• Drive the root cause analysis process. Participate in daily shift meetings, sharing insights and interpreting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensure accurate dispositioning of rejected products in the SAP inventory system.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a quality assurance or related role within a production environment.
• Strong understanding of cGMP standards and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency with SAP inventory systems and root cause analysis tools.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
