QA Technician

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a direct hire position at a cutting-edge client in Portland, OR. Pay: $26.50/hour + Shift Differential
Schedule: Mon-Fri Swing 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM Overview
This client is an industry-leading company driving innovation in food manufacturing. They are committed to quality, safety, and delivering high-quality products that meet industry standards.
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will support plant operations by conducting microbiological, chemical, and physical analyses on raw materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. You will also assist with auditing and inspection tasks to ensure compliance with GMPs and company guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform chemical and physical analyses, including flavor checks, on products and ingredients.
  • Record all analysis results accurately and input data into computer systems.
  • Communicate critical analysis results and ensure all documentation is legible and accurate.
  • Prepare sampling materials and maintain a clean and organized laboratory.
  • Perform general QA responsibilities, including environmental swabbing, water sampling, and allergen testing.
  • Assist with glass and hard plastic inspections, sanitation checks, pest control audits, and security inspections.
  • Cover laboratory responsibilities in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Support production teams as needed, including general cleaning duties.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of lab experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with infant formula or food manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in GMP regulations, data entry, CAPA resolutions, and internal audits.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to follow GMP guidelines.
