Kelly Science is seeking a Project Manager – Scientific (Part-Time, Ad-Hoc)
Location: Remote or Hybrid (based on candidate availability)
Schedule: ~10–15 hours/week (Flexible, Ad-Hoc)

We are seeking a Part-Time Scientific Project Manager to support our innovation and product development initiatives. This role will also function as an ad-hoc Product Development Consultant, contributing expert knowledge in reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, and sensory evaluation. This is a flexible, collaborative role ideal for someone with strong project management skills and technical food product development experience.
Key Responsibilities-
Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for scientific and product development initiatives.

Collaborate with internal R&D and production teams to coordinate reverse engineering and reformulation projects.

Lead and organize sensory panels, rapid prototyping trials, and related evaluations.

Track progress and provide regular updates to senior leadership on key product development initiatives.

Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, including QA, Operations, and Sales, to ensure alignment and project success.

Provide scientific input and technical troubleshooting for ongoing and new product development projects.

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field (Master's preferred).

3–5+ years of experience in food product development, R&D, or technical project management.

Hands-on expertise in reverse engineering, prototyping, and sensory evaluation is required.

Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to work independently on a flexible schedule.

Previous experience in a Culinary, Food Manufacturing, or Ingredient Development environment is a plus.

This role is ad-hoc and project-based, requiring approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around work hours.

Remote candidates will be considered; however, proximity to our main site may be preferred for sensory and prototyping activities.
