Project Manager – Power Generation (Remote, 20% Travel)
Are you experienced in project management and passionate about the power solutions that support today's data centers? As a Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role leading generator projects from quoting to commissioning. You'll act as the central hub of communication between sales, engineering, operations, and the customer, ensuring seamless delivery on every project phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid & Proposal Coordination: Oversee the full bidding process, collaborate with regional sales managers, and ensure all proposals are accurate and timely.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive records of bids, communications, pricing, and project status through multiple bidding platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the key point of contact for customers during the pre-sale phase, and coordinate with internal teams to execute winning bid strategies.
  • Quality Control: Guarantee the quality and correctness of bid documents, proposals, and templates to meet customer expectations.
  • Project Tracking: Monitor opportunity pipelines, deadlines, and deliverables, managing resources to ensure timely completion.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate closely with sales teams to maximize customer engagement and retention, focusing on opportunities tied to major bids.
  • Commissioning Prep: Work alongside the Project Delivery Manager to ensure a seamless transition from project kickoff through commissioning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities to optimize processes, reporting, and bid strategies for better outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management or technical sales, ideally within the construction or power generation industries.
  • Solid understanding of electrical power generation principles.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools (Salesforce, SAP).
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for critical project phases and customer meetings.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with data center design, generator sizing, codes/standards (NEC, UL, NFPA, etc.), and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, specs, and schematics.
  • Experience supporting large, diverse technical projects with tight deadlines.
