Description

Production Supervisor

Join our team in South Windsor, CT, as a Production Supervisor! This leadership role offers strong growth potential as you oversee the production floor, ensure SLAs are met, and lead a team of 15-25 employees.

This is a 100% onsite position in South Windsor, CT

Job Specifics:

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 PM
  • Compensation: $70.000-$75,000 + Annual Bonus
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the receipt and distribution of materials on the production floor.
  • Sign off on all jobs, verifying materials and indicia.
  • Supervise and manage a team of 15-25 employees, both permanent and temporary.
  • Ensure operators receive proper technical, quality, and ISO training.
  • Cross-train associates to optimize labor costs and equipment utilization.
  • Oversee mail industry production equipment (Bindery, Insertion, Postal sort).
  • Prioritize and delegate jobs, tracking "hot jobs" and meeting deadlines.
  • Coordinate with supporting areas (Print Room, Forms, Inkjet, Scheduling).
  • Provide lead time to warehouse staff for material needs.
  • Work with outside vendors for sorting needs and forecasting labor.
  • Enforce safety standards.
  • Mentor, counsel, empower, and develop production staff; conduct performance appraisals.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Availability for flexible schedule and overtime (including weekends).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • PC literacy with proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
