Kelly Services, in collaboration with a leading company in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a Production Supervisor in the Kennesaw, GA area. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire!

 

Salary:

  • $75,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)

Shift:

  • Mon – Thurs | 5pm – 6am

 

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production and packaging. The ideal candidate will not just be someone who supervises the work of others. A supervisor will also be responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between hourly associates and plant management. The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train employees. This person will be well-versed in processes under the role's responsibilities and will be results-driven and focused. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Ensure employees are GFSI trained and utilize that training to produce safe quality food.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
  • Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow processes/procedures.
  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to hourly associates.
  • Prepare and present daily direction setting meeting (Huddle Meeting) for hourly associates.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Monitor and prioritize workflow of production to meet deadlines.
  • Check production output according to specifications and recommend continuous improvement ideas.
  • Submit reports on performance and identify issues in efficiency.
  • Leverages continuous improvement tools to eliminate loss, optimize processes, and improve reliability.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years supervising experience in a related industry.
  • 1+ year manufacturing experience.
  • High school diploma. A degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be an advantage.
  • Shift flexibility including extended hours, weekends and holidays when required.
  • Ability to read and write in English and to write reports legible and accurately.
  • Ability to use MS Office.
  • Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards.
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Superb leadership and problem-solving skills.
