Production Supervisor
Taylor, MI
$75,000 - $85,000

Kelly Services, in partnership with a Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a flexible Production Supervisor. In this role, the Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of producing high-quality parts that meet company targets. This role involves leading employees in accordance with standard operating procedures to drive efficient and effective production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion safe operations in the department, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety among the workforce.
  • Advocate for the needs of the workforce, onboard and train production workers, and provide direction and supervision to lower-level leaders who support production operators.
  • Meet high-quality production targets by consistently leading adherence to standard operating policies and procedures. Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate repairs as necessary.
  • Understand and effectively communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Area Coordinators, production workers, teammates, and leadership to ensure targets are met.
  • Collaborate with the capability team to drive improved performance.
  • Interpret, leverage, and communicate data to optimize production efficiencies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee performance in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Understand, communicate, and uphold the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) while fostering a positive working relationship with union representatives.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience, preferably in a Union environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills (e.g., Ishikawa, fishbone), effective communication, coaching, and engaging people. Detail-oriented with efficient follow-up.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Paycor, ERP, and Time and Attendance systems preferred.
  • Collaborate with various positions throughout the organization to overcome challenges and achieve common goals.
