Now hiring a Production Operator for our premier client in Shreveport, LA!
Pay: $18/hr
Hours: 6am-4pm, M-Th (occasional rotation to 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am)
Location: Shreveport, LA 71107
Position Type: Temp to hire
Job Summary: Responsible for manufacturing product, receiving raw materials, shipping product, adhering to all aspects of the HS&E program, maintaining all required records, participating in housekeeping activities, and loading/unloading trucks.
Responsibilities
- Perform critical tasks including chemical blending with reaction process
- Form control room produce batches and transfer raw material/ finish goods to storage tanks, loading/unloading tank trucks using the plants automated system
- Perform SAP Transactions and data entry with Inventory Management
- Serve as backup lead operator, as required
- Operate forklift, load/unload package and bulk trucks
- Operate the automated tote filler
- Participate in housekeeping activities
- Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to comply with all Solvay safety rules and company policies
- Participate in the Incident Investigation process and near miss reporting
- Be available to support plant activities by working weekends or holidays when required
- Complete assigned tasks as issued by the Lead Operator, Production Manager or Facility Manager
- Participate in the annual employee performance assessments
- Complete General Safe Work Permit for maintenance work orders
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of oil field or chemical related industry experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to handle 50 lbs regularly
- Able to follow directions
- Basic computer skills
- Be a team player who can interface well with all employees at all levels
