Kelly, in partnership with a manufacturing organization, is seeking a Production Manager in Grand Rapids, MI.  Our client is experiencing growth and is seeking to add production leadership to support off-shift operations.

This is a direct hire Production Manager position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:

• Lead, motivate, and coach team members to enhance operational effectiveness and support continuous process improvement.
• Coordinate production priorities in collaboration with leadership to ensure company goals and customer demands are met.
• Implement and audit ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 9001 Quality Management policies as required.
• Schedule labor and manage resources efficiently for optimal productivity and workflow.
• Communicate company policies, expectations, and best practices to the team while fostering a positive work environment.
• Oversee all aspects of production operations, including part racking, inspection, tool changes, inventory movement, and area organization.
• Prepare and review reports on production progress, maintenance needs, and operational successes or issues, sharing updates with management and the team.
• Monitor and enforce workplace safety protocols, including personal protective equipment usage and incident prevention.

Required Experience:
•  Previous experience in supervising or leading teams in a production/manufacturing environment, with strong abilities in coaching and problem solving required.
• Proficient organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and tasks.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with team members and leadership.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications and comfortable performing mathematical calculations.
• Attention to detail, with preferred experience in inventory management, visual inspection, and fork truck operation.
