Process Technician – Injection Molding (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Location: Charlotte, NC
Shifts Available:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (1 opening)

  • 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1 opening)

Pay Range: $30.00 – $34.00/HR depending on experience

Job Summary

The Process Technician – Injection Molding is responsible for setting up, optimizing, and troubleshooting injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring quality, efficiency, and uptime while supporting production goals on either the second or third shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor molding machines and troubleshoot process-related issues to minimize downtime and scrap

  • Start up, adjust, and optimize machines for maximum efficiency and output

  • Perform injection mold changes according to the production schedule

  • Set up and program auxiliary equipment, including robotic material handlers

  • Program and adjust injection molding machines

  • Perform insert changes, version changes, and ensure date code accuracy

  • Assist Maintenance Technicians with repairs to machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment

  • Support in-process and finished product inspections

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 3 years of Process Technician experience

  • Prior injection molding experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and procedures

  • Flexibility to work off-shifts and overtime as needed

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and elevated work areas

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs

  • Requires walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, talking, seeing, and hearing
