Shift: 1st shift 6:30am – 3pm
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Power Tool Testing Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating various power tools according to established procedures, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and evaluate power tools following written, detailed procedures or instructions.
- Record and track power tool progress using data log sheets.
- Set up work stations, including loading and unloading of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; clean up workspace at the end of each shift.
- Follow assigned procedures in great detail, documenting any deviations or issues.
- Observe tools in operation for the duration of each test and note any irregularities.
- Communicate findings and any issues to the test technician or engineer.
- Operate multiple tools simultaneously as needed.
- Lift up to 50 lbs independently.
- Perform repetitive motions with tools for the duration of the shift.
- Hold up to 10 lbs at shoulder height for at least five seconds or more.
- Withstand heavy vibration from power tools for up to six hours per shift.
- Work with materials such as plywood, 2x10s, sheet metal, and other wood products.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and holding 10 lbs at shoulder height.
- Comfortable completing repetitive tasks and working with vibrating tools for extended periods.
- Experience working with materials such as wood and sheet metal is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
