Job Title: Pouch Making Lead
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Pouch Room Supervisor
Classification: Direct Hire
Location: West Bridgewater, MA
The Pouch Making Lead is a hands-on shift leader responsible for operating pouch-making equipment, overseeing operators, and ensuring product quality. This role requires performing quality tests, adhering to the production schedule, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Effective communication with team members across shifts is essential.
Compensation & Schedule- Base Pay: Starts at $20/hour
- Shift Differentials:
- 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 2 PM–10:30 PM): +$2.00/hour
- 3rd Shift (Sunday–Thursday, 10 PM–6:30 AM): +$3.00/hour
- Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6 AM–2:30 PM (2–6 weeks; no shift differential during training) Qualifications Required:
- Attention to detail and quality orientation
- Forklift truck experience
- Strong organizational skills and thoroughness

- Basic computer proficiency
- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience setting up and running production machinery

- Operate pouch-making machinery and ensure optimal performance
- Assist senior leads with machine setup and related activities
- Make minor adjustments to equipment to maintain product quality
- Collaborate with Pouch Making Testers to uphold quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support product changeovers and provide coverage during breaks and lunches
- Serve on corrective action teams as needed
- Report any concerns regarding food safety, legality, or quality to management
- Follow documented Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Consistent operation of pouch machines to meet efficiency targets
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Achieve and maintain key performance metrics:
- 75% machine efficiency
- Scrap rate of 4.5% or lower
- Exhibit teamwork, trustworthiness, and responsibility
- Meet company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Physical Demands
- Regularly required to walk, handle tools, and reach with arms
- Occasionally required to balance, stoop, talk, or hear
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Exposure to high noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Safety glasses and gloves may be required
